D. Model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments.
During class I have had plenty of opportunity to collaborate with classmates. However, I found that through the first online class, the members of my group were able to collaborate just as successfully through the use of an online discussion board. We each thoroughly reviewed WebQuests and then met online to discuss them and decide upon the benefits and negatives of each. We then decided on a final WebQuest that we would most likely implement in our classrooms. This discussion and final "decision" wikispace are both available for review on the NETS 1 page.
I am comfortable implementing this standard in my classroom and while collaborating with colleagues. In the past I have implemented this standard and will continue to do so. One example that sticks in my mind is communicating with students through Compass Odyssey Writer.
